Site Journal
November 9, 2004
I will be taking down this site on November 17, 2004. It's just one of those sites that cannot go beyond its initial static content. Starting mid-December, I'm moving on to a blog-type site on the topic of personal information management to be hosted on my new site www.glendaclaborne.com.
Yes, I'm giving up the name arabissmo.net. It is not a wise name for a website in these times. You can't expect your readers to go beyond the homepage or the banner to learn more about your choice of name. Plus, this site never really lived up to that name.
So, plain glendaclaborne.com it will be. I still aim to organize my site around the problem of personal organization of information which has originally inspired the creation of arabissmo.net. I hope that the weblog style of the new site will involve more people in defining its growth, both in content and design.
You can check on the progress of my graduate studies in library and information science at my UW student website.
